The officers and members of Castlegore would like to thank all of those who have suppoprted us over the year and wish them a very Merry Christmas and Happy 2010.
Castlegore Amateur Flute Band was established in 1946. We are situated on the Whappstown Road, Moorfields about 5 miles outside Ballymena.
We parade to church services, participate at Loyal Orange Lodge (LOL) and Royal Black Preceptory (RBP) demonstrations and compete in the Flute Band League and North of Ireland Flute Band Association contests.
We have a wide repertoire which includes marches, sacred, classical, irish and traditional music.
This photograph was taken in the late 1950's around the time the band purchased their first uniform which was navy with gold trim.
